Ageless sexuality advocate Joan Price (http://www.joanprice.com) met her great love, artist Robert Rice (http://www.robertriceart.com), when she was 57 and he was 64. She wrote Better Than I Ever Expected: Straight Talk about Sex After Sixty (Seal Press, 2006, http://www.joanprice.com/BetterThanExpected.htm) at age 61 to celebrate the joys of senior sexuality. Her new book, Naked at Our Age: Talking Out Loud about Senior Sex (Seal Press, 2011, http://www.joanprice.com/nakedatourage.html) addresses the challenges of older age sexuality, matching questions and stories from 135 seniors with advice from 45 experts. Joan’s mission is to change society’s view of boomer/senior/elder sex, one mind at a time, and to help seniors get the information they need to maintain (or reclaim) a joyful sex life. Joan’s award-winning blog. http://www.NakedAtOurAge.com. is creating a community of people talking about sex and aging.
Senior and boomer sex talks, workshops, writing, consultation. Joan also speaks about fitness, aging, and senior dating and teaches contemporary line dancing.
Joan was a high school English teacher for 22 years. After a near-fatal automobile accident in 1979, convinced that her exercise habit saved her life, she switched to a career as a health and fitness writer, speaker, and exercise teacher/trainer. At menopause, she decided she’d rather teach line dancing in the evening than aerobics in the wee hours of the morning. She switched careers again at age 60 to become a spokesperson for ageless sexuality, speaking and writing about the joys and challenges of senior sex.
